S&P keeps Otkritie Bank B+ rating on credit watch negative

MOSCOW, Aug 18 (PRIME) -- The long-term credit rating of Russian Otkritie Financial Corporation (FC) Bank remains on credit watch with a negative outlook due to potential pressure on funding and liquidity, global rating agency S&P Global Ratings (S&P) said late on Thursday.

The rating was put on watch on December 21.

S&P has also reaffirmed the bank’s short-term credit rating at B.

The agency said that capitalization of the bank’s controlling shareholder Otkritie Holding may weaken if the group acquires Russia’s biggest insurer Rosgosstrakh.
